This is a quick page, slapped up to talk about music.

I like all sorts of music. A lot of people say that, but I really mean it. In my CD collection you'll find lots of techno (trance, house, jungle, Drum n' Bass), Rock/Alternative (Soundgarden, Tool, Garbage), Pop (Luscious Jackson, Madonna), Folk (Utah Phillips, Tom Waits), Musicals (Rent, Les Miz, Falsettos, Jesus Christ Superstar), World/Other (Dead Can Dance, Banco De Gaia), and even Classical and Opera. I'm not a big fan of Rap, R+B, Hip Hop, or Teen pop, though.

In addition to being a huge fan of various musical styles, I am a fledgling, would-be producer. I'm trying to learn to make dance music (Psytrance mostly). Unlike traditional electronica production, my toolset (so far) includes exactly one item - my PC. With the processing power of a PC, it is possible to synthesize just about any sound you can imagine, and to emulate almost any hardware synthesizer.

I am primarily using a tool called "FLStudio". Check out the web site - www.flstudio.com. If you're into making music, grab the demo.

I also own and use Sonic Foundry's ACID Pro and Sound Forge (the photoshop of audio tools!). Check out ACID Planet for other ACID users and musicians.
